After parties. A strange but lovely phenomenon if you ask us. Some see them as the ultimate way to chill out with your best friends after a long night of dancing; others see it as a way of extending the euphoria and dance like there literally is no tomorrow. The music always reflects the nature and mood of the after party, often floating somewhere in between hypnotic and pulsating spacy or somewhat more sturdy and deep.
We first heard ‘Glowworm’ at an after party last NYE. It stood out because it perfectly captured that exact moment; a mixture of dancing with a sense of blissful warmth and wonder. The swelling synths felt like that morning would be the start of an amazing 2016.
Forever Sound hasn’t released that many tracks. This particular one was release on Horn Wax in 2013, and featured last October by Prins Thomas on one of his weird-but-amazing CD series called ‘Paradise Goulash’. Just one release is to be found (Geist, on Cocktail d’Amore) and some remixes. Let’s hope the 2016-edition will be an amazing one as well with more releases for us to play in the morning hours.
